C940 jumpy bluetooth mouse

2020-06-09, 19:05 PM

I have a problem with a sticking Bluetooth mouse on a Yoga C940 running Windows.

When moving the mouse the cursor stops and moves again after a pause of 1-3 seconds.

I am running up to date Windows, version 2004, build 19041.264.

The problem occurs both with a Microsoft Modern Mouse which uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and with a Logitech M535 which uses Bluetooth 3.0.

The problem does not occur with a wired mouse or with a mouse communicating via a proprietary dongle.

I installed Ubuntu 20.04 on my C940 and then both mice work flawlessly.  It is a native installation, not a Windows Subsystem for Linux one.

In Windows, Device Manager, Human Interface Devices, I tried deselecting the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" but I did not see any improvement.

Does anyone know the solution to this issue?

I have exactly the same issue with my Logitech MX anywhere mouse. It works perfectly on my bootcamped Macbook Pro but not on the C940

Yet another bug to add to the long list that exist for this useless laptop.

Same problem with my Logitech G604. Does this only via bluetooth. It happens after the mouse isn't moved for like ~ 2 seconds. It too, looked for me like a power saving feature.

Yeah, dump the Lenovo piece of crap and get a laptop that works.

I'm also experiencing the same problem.  I've tried with Logitech MX2S and Razer Atheris, both have the same problem.
