Yes it did the trick. Fortunately I searched for this problem and found that solution.

Removing the driver that was mentioned brought back full volume control.

Happy I can keep the 11s. It's a slick little device. :)

Awesome. My GF loves hers.

Wish I could fix my only two issues with my Y2P. The Bluetooth kills my wifi and the screen flickers at low brightness. I've tried everything to fix it! Just going to have to live with it.

Can the 11 2 be upgraded from the 4 to 8 RAM like the 11s?  (soldered vs plugin RAM)

did you do the upgrade?  There is a thread on upgrading the 11s from 4gb to 8gb.  I was wondering if the same would apply to the 11 2?  I looked the Maintenance Manual but I can't tell.

I have not taken mine apart, but it is my understanding that the yoga 2 11 has onboard ram and it can not be upgraded.

With regards to the RAM, if you look at the 'Hardware' PDF (page 57) the RAM can't be upgraded.

PDF link: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_yoga_2_11_hmm.pdf

I'm trying to decide between the 11s w i5-4210, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD ($699 on Lenovo Canada's web site) or the 2 11 w Celeron N3520, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD ($449 same site).  I can upgrade the HD to an SSD, but I'll still be stuck with only 4GB of RAM.  Though for $250 less.

Guess I should just pay the $699 and not have any regrets later.   Either way, either should be an upgrade to the x120e that I owned (and loved despite the shortcomings).
