Does Yoga 900 support extended monitor? And, does it have dual M.2 drive bays?

2016-12-28, 10:52 AM

1) I see can connect via USB-C, but does it support extending the monitor? Or is it just mirroring the Yoga's display?

2) I have seen some threads saying there was space for 2 hard drives. eg, an extra M.2 bay. Is this true? Are they both M.2?

Thanks much in advance.

Yup, it supports extended monitor. That's what I'm doing with it :)

As for the M.2 slots, there is only one slot. The PCIe slot is for the Wifi card.

That looks like mirrored. Not extended. Are you able to put something different on the other monitor? For example, play a video on the external monitor while you surf the net on the Yoga 900 LCD?

Yup, it's extended.  You just need a USB Type-C to VGA or HDMI, something like this: https://www.amazon.com/CableCreation-USB-C-Adapter-Macbook-Chromebook/dp/B0126ZFTZM/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1482972223&sr=1-6&keywords=usb+c+to+vga
