Failed Component Video Card

2021-02-22, 16:43 PM

Hi,

I am having an issue with my video card in my Lenovo Yoga 900... the issue appears when trying to use Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop/InDesign appear to run fine?)

I get an error message stating; "System Compatibility Report - Video Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 - Unsupported Video Driver" I have followed the fix steps & directions to install a new driver, first via Intel website and then from Lenovo website.

On the Lenovo support page I have selected the Driver & Software updates for which it says there are none for the video drive.

On then completing a simple scan it states "Failed Components - Video Card > Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 > Directcompute Advanced Mathamatical Operations Test" as failed.

Images below show the error message and failed component issue...

How to I rectify the issue? or install a new video driver?

Thanks

Heather

Welcome to the Community Forums hlp135!

Nice to have you here!

Since you're still getting the same error message even though the Display driver has been updated already through Lenovo and Intel's site, it would be advisable to have this be reported directly to the Adobe support team so that they can check it on their end and provide an alternate link or driver or that you can use to update the Display driver successfully on your Yoga 900 laptop so that you can use the Adobe Illustrator app.

Thanks,

Hi Adriel,

Thank for your reply... could I check why is it saying there is a componenent failure when I do the scan? Is that something I should be worried about or need to get sorted?

Thanks

Heather

Thanks for responding @hlp135!

As for this concern and as based on what the error that you are getting, it seems that the Display driver that you have on your Yoga 900 laptop isn't compatible or doesn't meet the requirements to have the Adobe Illustrator app to work even if other Adobe apps like Photoshop/InDesign works without any issues.

As long the device is working/running fine when using other apps, no need to worry about the error you are getting since it's basically within the Adobe Illustrator app itself only.
