Fully compatible pens / stylus for Lenovo C940 ?

2019-12-04, 18:27 PM

Hi

theres not much information i can find here. I asked support in UK who told me that the Lenovo Active Pen 2 and the Wacom Bamboo Pro both are fully compatible with the Lenovo C940. Another Supporter told me that only the integrated pen is fully compatible with all features and functions.

Any info on that ?

What is recommended ?

thanks

Nolan

Hi ,

Welcome to the Community.

Based on https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/yoga/yoga-900-series/Lenovo-Yoga-C940-14IIL/p/88YGC901221 the Pen Pro or Active Pen is available as an accessory, that means it's fully compatible and tested by Lenovo to work. Other pens like the Bamboo have been tried on other models like the Yoga C930 and some had success but, the Yoga C940 has just been released so we cannot expect to get a lot of feedback yet. To get all the options to customize the Pen you need to download the Lenovo Pen Settings in the Microsoft Store App.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes,

Jeremy

Hi

i now purchased

1. lenovo active pen 2

2. wacom bamboo ink plus

See screenshot, both have quite wiggly diagonal lines, but the wacom is clearly the worse of these pens regarding wavy lines diagonal.

But the lenovo active pen 2 does not support tilt. That does not comply with the answer above, do i have to do something to make the pen use tilt function ? All drivers are updated

thanks Nolan

Those lines are for real like that? Looks like a faulty pen or calibration or something or do is it very cold? :P And if you try this with the ruler in onenote? Still jiggyly? See my result with the orginal pen which comes with my c940 15":

nope its not cold :-) using a ruler in onenote the line is perfect

BUt if i draw the lines speedy (which probably is the way to do normally) the lines are much more straight

My surface pro had straight lines no matter if drawn slow or fast

Ok, added without ruler as well without even trying my best to draw clean lines:

but did you draw these lines very slow ? If so then there maybe a difference between the FHD and UHD screen (if you have the UHD version )?

I have the FHD version

Ok, did draw some line really (unnatural) slow, but i can feel it's because the pen tip slips away a bit. I also have a surface pro (pen) and it has almost the same behavior but that pen fits better in my hand and has a more rubberised pentip (more grip). I have the UHD screen btw.
