HELP: Yoga 900 locks up randomly!

Recently purchased a Yoga 900 which came with Windows 10 pre installed. 

 

Soon after I started using it had problem with it locking up. I would be in the middle of doing something and the screen would freeze , no input from mouse or keyboard. Ctrl-alt -delete does not bring up task manager. Only way out is to power down. This happens multiple times a day and when working in different applications. Called tech support and they had me run a hardware scan which tested okay on all test. "Hardware is all okay, you are good to go"

 

Problem continues and is serious productivity limitation; to the point of making the laptop useless. 

 

Would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this problem

Welcome to the Community Forums. 

 

Even if LSC would pass on its integrity check , any non synchonous firmware and drivers can cause randon freeze . 

With that I would suggest visiting the website for BIOS , Chipset , Video and Audio update and see if that helps. 

Amongst reported cases , improvements and add on features have already been added to the support driver list.

 

It can also help running bug checker such as whocrashed to isolate probable cause to evaluate recent crash event.
