I just bought my 710S plus-13IKB ideapad laptop four days ago and have been facing some freezing issues while watching youtube but it's usually fine once I refresh the browser or close Chrome entirely so I didnt mind them. But just now (like 30 mins ago) it froze and nothing I click or press could work and the screen hasn't unfreeze since then. Im not good with tech stuff so I tried ctrl+alr+del and the novo bios button but both didnt work. Also to be frank, opening applications like folders etc tends to lag a little (or being a bit slow). Not sure if this is a Lenovo issue or Windows 10 issue. Please kindly advise what action I should take. It's really disappointing to see a new laptop being like this. ):

Hi Sotongxzxz ,
Welcome to the Community Forurms.
You can try to check if you have the same issue using a different browser like edge . If the issue just remains on chrome, you can try disabling chromes hardware acceleration.
Another way to isolate the freezing issue is running the machine in safe mode with networking since the unit would just be using basic drivers on this mode.
If a hardware issue is detected then you can proceed to call technical support for assistance.
Update us soon as convenient.

I had my Lenovo Ideapad 710S plus 3 weeks ago, and it started having some serious problems in the first week. I need your HELP! The first problem that I encountered is when surfing the net. I used Google Chrome. When surfing the net, it sometimes freezes and followed by a LAG and then a NOT RESPONDING. ( Especially after constant scrolling up and down) At first, i think it's normal for a laptop to have lag sometimes, but this problems do exist everytime I was surfing the net. It even interupted my youtube video playing. Then, at first I think it may because of the google chrome then i uninstalled it and replaced it with a lighter usage one --- MICROSOFT EDGE. Until today, I discovered another same issue, not while surfing the net but typing with microsoft word. For example, when a text is selected to highlight, it shows exactly the same problem that I mentioned just now. Freezes, lag, not responding. I didn't expect a so called 8GB ram laptop can't even perform simple stuff like this, what to say playing games? I'm really disappointed as I paid RM4000 for this kind of laptop. Can you explain to me why is it so? Any solution? I'm really frustrated!

I decided to bring my laptop back to the store to ask for an exchange since it's still within 7 days. Also factory resetted my laptop. The sales guy couldnt find any fault with the laptop despite us trying to play youtube videos on chrome (somehow no freezing) but I insisted on exchanging since I've brought everything down. The freebies, original packaging, everything. Decided to exchange for 710s model which seems to experience lesser issues than the plus and hope it will be alright this time.
