I have a Yoga 2 Pro from 2014. The Original OS was Windows 8.1. I updated it to Windows 10. If I press the F10 Button it looks for a wireless device. If I look at the display setting, the setting is fixed for built in Monitor. I have tried to connect the external monitor through the micro HDMI interface. Can I use a docking station to solve the problem?
Can anybody help me.

A lot of people report that the micro HDMI port on that model is recessed too far in the case, so many HDMI cables will simply not insert far enough to be recognized. The fix for many is to trim back a millimeter or so the plastic on the cable so it protrudes further, and then it should work.
As a last resort, you could use a USB to HDMI adapter to connect as well.
Best of luck,

Thanks so much JD Gillis for posting this! And for the very helpful photos you attached. I just ordered an ultrawide monitor and was so disapointed when it didn't show up as an external monitor when I attached it to my Yoga 2 Pro. After I found your post, it only took me about 3 minutes to shave down the plastic around the micro hdmi plug, and viola!, my Yoga 2 Pro is connected to my new external monitor! Just wanted to thank you and let you know that the time you took to post this solution is much appreciated and still helping people a year later!
