How to connect an external Monitor to YOGA 2 Pro from year 2014

I have a  Yoga 2 Pro from 2014. The Original OS was Windows 8.1. I updated it to Windows 10. If I press the F10 Button it looks for a wireless device. If I look at the display setting, the setting is fixed for built in Monitor. I have tried to connect the external monitor through the micro HDMI interface. Can I use a docking station to solve the problem?

Can anybody help me.

Re: How to connect an external Monitor to YOGA 2 Pro from year 2014

A lot of people report that the micro HDMI port on that model is recessed too far in the case, so many HDMI cables will simply not insert far enough to be recognized.     The fix for many is to trim back a millimeter or so the plastic on the cable so it protrudes further, and then it should work.

As a last resort, you could use a USB to HDMI adapter to connect as well.

Best of luck,

Hey JDGillis

Thank you so much, it worked. I'm so happy, that I can now work on my monitor. I just created an account to say thank you Smiley Happy
