Hello Lenovo community! I had a Lenovo G50-70 earlier, and after about 12 months of not-rough usage, its hinge started having problems, and I had to press it on the left side to prevent a loud cracking noise (which made my heart burn btw). After searching this issue, I noticed that there were many people with the same problem on Lenovo forums. When I took it to a local repair shop, the repair guy told me it was very frequent with "cheap quality Chinese" Lenovo laptops. Somehow I managed to sell it to someone for a sub-par price, and don't know what got me, but here I am, having another Lenovo laptop. This time a Yoga 500 series.
Now I am being a lot more cautious while opening and closing the lid of the laptop (doing so by opening the lid from the middle and keeping the bottom half pressed). Still, similar complaints on other Lenovo Yoga laptops are scaring me to hell. Is there somehow I could at least delay this issue so that the hinge lasts as long as possible?
