IdeaPad Yoga Rotation Lock Button Issue

2012-11-16, 3:24 AM

When the rotation lock button on the side of my Yoga is pressed it switches to desktop and the Windows Run window comes up. Same as if you do the key combination: Windows Key + R

Has anyone else encountered this issue and is there a fix? Thanks.

RMattoo,
This doesn't work. My rotation lock button is still bringing up run. Any other ideas? Does this work on anyone's yoga?

Mine works fine.  Could you have installed some software (may a Start replacement) that inadvertently remapped the auto rotate button?

Can't speak for others, but mine activated "Run" the first time I pressed it, soon after taking it out tof the box. Before any software installation or anything else at all (except maybe Windows Update, I think). It never worked correctly and so far nothing has fixed it. I've been locking it on the settings screen instead since I don't change orientation too often.

I'm about ready to do a clean install of Windows 8 Pro to see if that does it. Already purchased, just waiting for a few consecutive days when I'm free and sure I won't need it for my work.
