Ideapad Yoga 11s shuts down when plugged IN

2018-04-10, 21:51 PM

Hi,

I have an Ideapad Yoga 11s for about 4 years and it shuts down whenever I have it plugged IN...yes PLUGGED IN. So when my laptop runs low on battery, I plug it in and within 10 seconds, it shuts off by itself. It has happened to my previous Lenovo so I guess the problem was never solved. Any suggestions? It only started happening within the last 5 months or so.

Hello Ejmah

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Does the battery charge without trouble?

It may be that there is a problem with the charging cable, I would recommend you try another charging cable, see if that is able to help out at all.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Any luck solving this problem? I have this problem too. I think it started after I received a software upgrade while online with a Lenovo service agent.

I called back. I can't contact the agent and my warranty period expired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
