Ideapad Yoga 13 goes to sleep after 2 minutes

2012-11-20, 5:28 AM

My wife's laptop is falling asleep after two minutes when our power policy is set to sleep after 20. The power policy is also set for the screen to shutoff after 3 minutes. We've tried adjusting power policy settings and also tried updating the lenovo power management software.

Any ideas here?

Hi infrb,

which OS do you use, factory install or clean install?

Best

It's using the factory Windows 8 install it came with, however we did upgrade it to Windows 8 Pro using the Add Features upgrade. Though this was happening before the upgrade.

Has there been a resolution to this yet?  I just bought my Yoga three weeks ago.  Factory install - Windows8 Pro

I have this same problem. Strangely, it seems to be consistently in the afternoon, so maybe my yoga was assembled in Mexico and needs a siesta?

Windows 8Pro, factory install. I resolved the issue but don't know what I did. I reset everything I could find, nothing worked but the next morning it was working using the times I had put in for sleep, screen saver, etc.

Windows 8 Pro. I resolved the issue but don't know what I did. I went everywhere I could find (software) to make changes. Nothing worked. The next day it was working with the times that I had entered. I wish I could tell you what I did. I always do one change at a time and then check but don't know in this case since it was changed the following day. (I guess it took awhile to kick in.)
