I got the same error.  I went to the C drive and in the directory labed drivers I found the hotfix directory.  clicked on that directory and ran the fix from there  It worked for me.

Thanks.  I ran the Hotfix in C drive and it was successful, however, when I checked the drive partition map, it still has 6 partitions, which is no good.

Any more advice that I can reclaim more space?

I just picked up the Yoga 13 at Best Buy on December 10.  Lenovo must have been listening because the C: drive is 92.91GB and there are 7 partitions instead of 8.

My 8 year old laptop finally gave out and I have been watching for the Yoga 13 since its debut at CES.  So happy that I waited, this machine fits my needs very well.

I couldnt find the answer to this - but does the hotfix apply to the 256GB models?

I ordered the clementine 256gb model on 12/12.  Wondering if I'll need to apply the hotfix on it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I tried running the Hotfix but got an error:

Unable to execute file:

C:\drivers\Hotfix\Setup.exe

ShellExecuteEx failed; code 2

The system cannot find the files specified

Your advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem.

I have the 256 GB SSD model, but just like the 128 it comes with 8 partitions and only about 187 out of 256 GB usable space.  I tried to run the hotfix file, but it doesn't work.

Maybe the hotfix file is only applicable to the 128 GB version?

If we need a new hotfix version for the 256, then Lenovo please take this as the first vote in favor of bringing that out!!

I ran the hotfix in C:\driver folder and it ran OK.  But it only merge the D partition to C, there are still hidden partitions scattered around :-(, so for me this hotfix is not a fix.

I'm having the same problem. I went to the drivers file as well and did the hotfix through the command prompt but I still have the same limited amount of space on my hard drive. Does anyone know how to fix this??

Thank you for the wonderfully detailed instructions.  I used them and they worked perfectly.  I do have a question though.  I just got the Crucial 8gb RAM chip, but when I did your instructions I only had 4GB so I set it up that way.  How do I now set it up for 8GB?

Another question that is unrelated:  I also received a 256GB SSD for Christmas and was going to add that as a new storage drive.  That got me thinking about replacing the primary drive with a 256GB and using the factory 128GB as storage and possibly replacing it later with another 256GB.  What is the easiest way to do this?  Maybe clone my primary stock 128GB to my new secondary, then move the new 256GB to primary?

I also picked up a Kingston 128GB SSD from TigerDirect for under $100 if anyone is interested.  They had some great deals before Christmas, I'm not sure if they are still going on.

Thanks!

I am ready to buy the Yoga 13, when:

* The fan and wifi issues are fixed

* It comes available with 256 GB SSD

I understand you are wokring on the fan and wifi issues.  Can a moderator please let me know when / if Lenovo plans to introduce a model with a larger hard drive. At that point, I could use it to power my home office (i.e., add a monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse, and use it as a desktop) and still take it on the road with me as an ultraportable device, as either laptop or tablet.  This would be the ideal solution.

The Yoga 13" is now available with 256GB SSD. Check out Lenovo.com

I also think I'll wait until the fan and wifi issues are resolved. But I'd rather wait until a backlit keyboard and built in Mobile Access will be available. That will make it a true tablet!
