Ideapad Yoga lenovo software

2012-10-27, 2:39 AM

Where can the contents of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo" be downloaded on the drivers support site?  (Intelligent Touchpad, Lenovo Transition, MotionControl, YouCam, etc.)

Thanks!

'evening...

welcome to the community.

i haven't seen a support/driver matrix for the Yoga yet. i'd suspect that it will be reachable from here:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/research/hints-or-tips/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=NOTE-MATRIX

at some point since the machine is now officially available today.

if you have the machine, have you looked at the D: drive? as i understand IdeaPads, that's typically where the preload software installers are located.

cheers.

There are two directories on D:\.  "Applications" and "Drivers".  "Applications" contains only "McAfee".  "Drivers" contains only third-party software drivers and one Lenovo application called "OneKey_Recovery" - no other Lenovo software installers.

Yoga drivers don't seem to be in the matrix yet, but there is a somewhat limited set available by entering "yoga" in the Quick Path box, selecting the "IdeaPad Yoga 13 Notebook" and then the Drivers and Software link in the upper right.

Don't think it has what the OP is lookng for.

I'm also looking for this. I got so frustrated with the partition situation that I decided to purge my device and start anew. Would be nice to see these things available for download.

Will missing Yoga 13 utilities and drivers be posted?

2012-11-20, 6:30 AM

The Yoga 13 download page is missing Lenovo Transition, Motion Control, the UserGuide app, and I'm sure some other stuff that comes installed on the notebook.

I'm at wits end with the Yoga not detecting rotation and randomly shutting down the keyboard, and I'd like to just do a fresh Windows install, like I've been able to do with every other laptop I've ever purchased, Lenovo or otherwise. But these important utilities aren't in the Lenovo drivers folder that comes on the D: drive, nor are they on the website.

Will Lenovo be posting these to the web? Or is there a way to get them on CD or something? It's bizarre that the only way to get them seems to be restoring from Lenovo's original image.

Any update on this? Frustrating that people who do clean installs can't get all of the basic Lenovo utilities that come with their Yoga 13s.

You can change to different Windows editions without loosing any installed programs.  I haven't tried this yet, but I got the following from one of the search.

1. Press the Win key and the F key and type System in the Search box, then click on Settings.

2. Click on the System icon that appears

3. In the window that opens, click on "Get more features with a new edition of Windows"

4. Click on "I already have a product key".

5. Enter your Windows 8 Pro product key.
