Hi, I am considering whether or not to get a protective case for the Yoga C930. Is it recommended? In case the top of bottom of the chassis get damaged or have dent/scratches, can I get it replaced easily?

Thanks. By upper case cover, do you mean the one including the palm rest? What about the part right behind the LCD screen?
What do you think of this case?
They advertised that it works in all 4 modes but when I asked more, they said that:

I would say average to high challenge for those who have done replacement parts before on the LCD Cover. This includes removing several parts (page 50 HMM).
For this bit inconvenience including issues during warranty repair (covered only for those that came with the machine originally), some would just settle for sticker cosmetics as an option instead.

In the past, some protective cases for the MacBook Pro ended up scratching the laptops because dust particles/derbis entered through some gaps. I certainly do not want this to happy to my beautiful Yoga C930. So your company have tried this product for other Yoga but not yet the Yoga C930?
Any recommendation on screen protector?

In general, my laptop is dead silent when it is not plugged into an AC adapter. Even when it is not plugged in and has some fan noise, it became dead silent quickly. However, since I have put on the buttom part of the mcase to the laptop, I have noticed that the fans keep spinning. Could it be that having the protective case traps the heat and makes it less effective for the aluminium case to dissipiate the heat and thus the fans keep spinning? In this case, is it better to just go without the protective case and ask Lenovo technican to replace the chasis later if it gets damaged? I have a 3 years accidental protection and onsite warranties.

Warning: I tried the mcover for Yoga C930. They advertised that with the case on, the laptop can still be used in all four modes. However, once I put it on, the laptop could not be folded into a tablet due to the thickness of the case. Fortunately, I did it very slowly and gently when I tried it. If I just did it quickly, I could have broken the laptop. Be careful!
