Keyboard not responding Linux & Windows (Lenovo Yoga 730 13IKB)

Hi everyone,

I create this topic today with a recent purchase of Lenovo Yoga 730 13IKB,

I'm hving a issue with main ltters in my keyboard (with AZERTY)
Most of letters in AZERTYUIOP (1st layer of letters ONLY) is not responding, i must let press or press lot of time to write these letters, it's weird because it's in a frequency of responding/not responding (sometimes it's very long and sometimes normal and responding fast). This issue is present on Xubuntu 18.10 and Windows 10.

I disabled keyboard functions on the bios but it isn't this functionnality that makes lag.
So I think it since I made the latest bios update, I was on IDE Sata Mode and the Bios update changed it to AHCI sata mode.

It's maybe that is making issue.

It's a big problem because i need to write fast in my job.

So what I can do ?

Re: Keyboard not responding Linux & Windows (Lenovo Yoga 730 13IKB)

Hi,

So I have found the problem, it was a virus on my Xubuntu, that infected my keyboard (it seems big)

I have reinstall Windows, nothing changed

When I reinstalled Xubuntu, my keyboard worked again.

And when I decompressed my backup on a folder (in /tmp) in Xubuntu, my AZERUIOP keys suddenly stopped working normally on Windows and Linux.

So I deleted the folder, and the keyboard worked again. So now I must found which file is the virus.

I will report the malicious file. I will update this topic when I found it. Smiley Happy
