So I bought my Lenovo 730 13 just a few months ago in June this year. No issues until now. part of my keyboard stopped working just a few days ago, specifically, the 0 - p [ ; ' / keys do not work (had to use onscreen keyboard to type those keys)!!
I thought it was the bios or updates, so i updated everything yesterday, and for the evening it worked, but now its the same problem. Not sure whats going on, but I swear I was able to type the zero key when my screen was at a certain angle, but even that doesnt work anymore. Any thoughts would be helpful
personally think this is a hardware issue as it worked and then stopped working, and was positional for a bit too. They keys are also laid out in kind of a pattern too. This laptop is too young for any problems! Help!

I've had the same issue with the same laptop which I got in December. Different keys stopped working this month. I tried what you suggested and it still has issues. If you look at the forums, more and more people are having this problem.

I have tried all of the suggestions at the link above, plus additional troubleshooting steps. NONE have solved the issue! This has soured me on Lenovo, I will NEVER recommend or buy Lenovo EVER again if they can't get something as basic as THE KEYBOARD right. Problem has been circulating for a very long time, and nobody seems to have ANY answers.
For me, it's the keys: 5, 6, left control, F1 (mute), F2 (vol down), -, =
HELLO? IS ANYBODY WORKING OVER THERE AT LENOVO?

The only thing that ended up working for me was sending the laptop back to Lenovo for repairs. It was still under warranty, but fixed the issue. Unfortunately, this was the second time I had to send the machine back in 10 months to fix issues. I'm not thrilled with their product.
