Lenovo 900 13ISK Diagnostics Issue

Greetings,

 

I ran a hardware test on my recently acquired machine ( < 2 weeks old ) and I received an invalid result on the motherboard PCI/ PCI-e test.  Can anyone please explain what this means and should I be concerned?

Hi Denise,

 

I just ran the same test and got the SAME result, a red X on the PCI/PCI-e test on my new Yoga 900.  I don't know what that means either, but my device seems to work fine.  

 

Maybe someone else knows.

From the research I've done it is an "Invalid Test" for our laptops.  The diagnostic software is not unique to the Yoga 900s.  Your computer is working fine!  BTW, my 900, as does every other 900 throw the same red X!!

Just ignore it it's a false positive. See

I suspect that the test is intended for desktops with PCI slots on the motherboard. These don't exist in the Yoga 900.
