Lenovo 920 touchpad not working

Hello everyone,

I have a Lenovo 920, and the touchpad stopped working. I went to settings to see about it, and I was expecting to see a Mouse & Touchpad setting, but all it showed was a tab for Mouse settings. It is almost like Windows 10 is no longer detecting the touchpad.

Any advice?

Thanks

Re: Lenovo 920 touchpad not working

i have yoga900 -131SK and after the windows got upgraded to 17134.407 , the touchpad is not working. The HID driver is not working with yellow sign.

I have tried all the options described in other forums

1. Reinstalled the driver in windows manager option.

2. Deleted the driver, restarted the system

Re: Lenovo 920 touchpad not working

The solution described here -https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-910-80VF-Touchpad/m-p/4104413#M65190 perfectly worked well. I used the 3rd option of installing the generic driver.

Re: Lenovo 920 touchpad not working

Hi,

I have this problem too. A few days ago, after a Windows update, my touchpad stopped working. I went to "Device Manager" and tried to update touchpad's driver however there was no "touchpad" but only "HID Compliant Mouse".

Since I had nothing to do, I searched for "troubleshooter" in Windows search bar. In the "Troubleshooter", I found "Harware and Devices" and clicked it. After Windows detected and solved the problem, I restarted my computer and my touchpad started working. So the problem was solved. However, this time, my fingerprint sensor stopped working. Since the fingerprint sensor does not mean much for me, I did not care the problem.

Today, after a Windows update, my touchpad stopped working AGAIN. What's interesting is that my fingerprint sensor starts working now. I tried "Troubleshooter" solution again but it did not work. So I search for possible solution and found some links like the link below

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027866/windows-fix-touchpad-problems-in-windows-10

However, that did not work because there is not any device with the question or exclamation mark in my "Device Manager", so I could not removed it.

I absolutely agree with the author of the link below

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-910-80VF-Touchpad/m-p/4293542/highlig...

IN SHORT, an update is needed to solve this problem...
