So I've had my Active Pen 2 for a week or two now, and my pen won't pair to the actual laptop. Although it can work if i just draw on the screen, I have to make sure the pen has batteries before i turn the laptop on and then it will work on the laptop. I would think that I can just pair it and I don't think my pen is working properly. The end button doesnt work at all because it isn't paired with my laptop and when I hold the button down for over 10 seconds, the light won't flash at all. Am I doing something wrong or is it broken, because it was like this the first day I got it.

Would you have other blue tooth device that is able to connect?
Having assured that the BT works would only leave the pen BT connectivity in question. I suggest you call in technical support to inform them about this issue specially if another WACOM pen works.
I hope this helps you on the next step.
Update us how it goes.

I have connected my bluetooth headphones and they do work. It's so frustrating having my pen not work. I have no idea as to why the pen wouldnt connect to my laptop. The LED and end button don't work whatsoever. I've been trying to fix it for a week now, in updating drivers and updating windows, and nothing has worked. Can I just be sent a new pen? It has to be a problem with the pen. It's so frustrating.

I also have a Lenovo Active Pen 2... ordered with my Yoga C740 and it works to draw on the screen, but how do you put the pen in pairing mode? I've tried all kinds of possiblities, hold bottom button for 10sec, top button for 10sec, both buttons... no light ever shows up and pen never shows on bluetooth pairing lists... other devices have paired just fine, so no issue with laptop...
how do you get the pen in pairing mode?
if I open lenovo pen settings, it detects pen and shows pen battery at 100%...
ultimately I'd like to use pen to control slideshows in powerpoint... but need the pen paired so the buttons work...

I had to call Lenovo support and we eventually found out that the serial number on the pen I received was unable to pair with my laptop. Maybe it's the same case for you, so you should call support and ask them for a new one, which is was I did, and it should work. At least my pen works with my laptop now.
