I have a password in a bios in my Lenovo YOGA 920-13IKB Glass. After last BIOS update (from 5NCN29WW to 5NCN38WW) I can't enter the bios because I can't enter UPPERCASE chars neither with shift nor with capslock, it is literally do not enter anything when shift key is pressed. Now I have completely locked up bios, because my previous password doesn't work anymore.

Did you try clearing the CMOS? Shut off the computer using the power button, but continue to hold it in for a full minute after the computer shuts off. Then use the NOVO button to boot into the BIOS page and see if you can enter the PW from there.

Try an external keyboard?

Pulling the CMOS battery doesn't help. The password characters are based on key position so capital letters are the same as lower case. Lenovo repair cannot clear passwords. There is no "backdoor". You need to remember the password or replace the motherboard.

I remember my password, and it worked before the last bios update I mentioned. So please tell system engineers team to fix the issue, because this is not a forgotten password problem, obviously it is a system bug.
Also IMHO it is a very bad UX when nothing is typing when shift key is pressed.
(offtopic: why not make a bios source code available under some licence so I could fix the problem myself and send a pull request?)
