I am thinking of buying the IdeaPad Yoga 13 - 59359568 - Silver Grey (specs)
I want to hook up a 24" external monitor to it and use this a my primary monitor (no cloning)
I want it be a t least 1900x1200 but anything higher would be even better.
What's the maximum resolution this laptop can handle to my external monitor?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to Lenovo Community,
The Yoga 13 has the Intel HD Graphics 4000 so its maximum resolution is 1600 x 900 IPS (wide viewing angle) so on the external monitor it will not display 1900x1200 FHD.

My cable said the maxs it could handle was 1920 x 1080 - whichi I am running... BUT
I have found that everything I run on my external montior is slower - it seems that the speed of the cable is effect programs just on the external monitor.
Does anyone nkow the proper or best cablw to run from the Yoga 3 PRO HDMI out put to an external monitor?

Our family generatrion 1 Yoga 13 supports resolution up to 1920×1200 with its HDMI external output. Never had problem at this resolution until Windows 10. Resolution still displays beatuifully but processor speed always eventually drops to 0.79 GHz immediately or after an hour or sometimes after a day with attachment of the external monitor - at any resolution. Very frustrating and no definitive answers provided by Lenovo.
This severe processor slow down occurs on the original and apparently most later generation Yoga up to the most recent members of the Yoga family. Our family's second Yoga 13-720 works well for external 4K via the USB-C port.
