My Yoga 710-15ikb keyboard crapped out. The local repair guy says that Lenovo had issues with that unit, and I will have to use a USB keyboard. Has anyone ever heard of this? He tried to fix it once by intalling a new keyboard, and all of the keys worked except a few. He said that even though there is an issue there is no recall. I am having a hard time believeing this is the case, and was wondering if anyone else has had heard anything. Thanks

Welcome to the Community Forums.
The community forums would be a good source of reported issue and I do not see much to warrant any specific attention other than 2-3 cases out of the thousands of models marketed. The design is different from usual as it is intended for slimmer portable machine.
Checking with the hardware manual, offered for keyboard repair would be replacement of the entire upper case instead as same reason why the OEM do not offer keyboard replacement alone.
Here is the documented recalls and do not have the Yoga 15IKB among it. Getting a second opinion on the repair may be an option.
I hope this helps answer your query.

If an external USB keyboard works fine then it maybe the port connection/ cable that may have the issue. I assume that the warranty is out otherwise Lenovo would have been able to replace what is needed in this scenario.
