If there is nothing but black screen, then it`s possible that part of the installation became corrupted.
Try to turn off the unit, and start it using the NOVO button, this should land you in the recovery menu.
If it refuses to reach even the recovery, then you will likely be facing a hardware problem, I would recommend that you get in touch with your local Lenovo support line for a possible repair on the unit.
