Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

Hi Rower,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

Open Device Manager and uninstall the WLAN 802.11 driver "Place a check on the Delete driver software for this device ". The hit on scan for Hardware Changes.

Delete the driver again until it does not show you a check box for deleting driver software then Restart the computer.

Now install this

Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 8.1

Then try reconnecting again.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Shashi

Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

Hi Shashi,

i went to to my device manager but could not find that WLAN driver anywhere. Then I search my whole computer for it and again could not find it. Do I need to have it deleted before downloading the second driver or can I just go ahead with the download? And if the former, where can I find the WLAN driver I need to delete?

Thanks so much !!!

Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

So yet another chapter in this exciting saga. I was going through my settings and decided to change my laptop's nickname. Did it, restarted my computer, and boom. My wifi was back. Unfortunately then it became an issue with my schools wifi not allowing me to connect. Regardless, i decided to save it for tomorrow but then I open up my laptop now and my wifi has gone. Completely. It isnt simply not registering, it is just gone. I look up the Device Manger, and apparently my Intel(R) Wireless-N 7260 network adaptor has stoped working due to an error. Any thoughts on what to do now? Should I uninstall that driver and download that new driver? Try to fix the current driver??? Please help !

Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

Hi Rower,

Yes. You have to delete the previous drivers before installing the new drivers.

  1. Click on the Start menu and type 'device manager' in the search box. Hit enter to start it.
  2. From the Network Adapters list, select your wireless adapter, and double-click on it.
  3. Select the Driver tab and click Uninstall.

Let us know how you get on.

Shashi

Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

So as i said before, I could not locate the specific driver you mentioned, however i did uninstall the one that i thought was the trouble maker. Then I downloaded the recommended driver, restarted my computer, but alas the problem persists. The new driver I downloaded is not on my Network Adapters of the device manager and I have no idea what to do next. Thoughts??

Hi Rower,

Sorry to hear that your issue is not been fixed.

Also you could try a system restore to when it worked fine.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

Sashi,

Tried the system restore and still nothing. I know it worked but there is still no driver in place. I am correct in thinking that there should be that INTEL WLAN driver under Network Adapters in the Device Manager correct? I am going to try to download the driver again and hopefully this helps. Will let you know.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

Sashi,

I have now tried to download the driver you recommended 3 seperate times and nothing happens. I can find them in my documents but there is no new driver shown in my Device Manager. Should I try downloading the wireless LAN driver for Windows 10? I am utterly lost here  and losing hope. Please let me know what else I can do to fix this major issue. THanks

Re: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Wifi Problem

Hi Rower,

I would suggest you go to - In the device manager, right button and click on wifi devicePropierties -> advanced options -> WMM -> Disabled

Click here for the similar thread.

Also, try resetting my wireless router.

Regards,

Shashi
