After installing the driver on touchpad, which was downloaded from the official website, the touchpad still could not work. I even tried to update the bios and the lenovo utilities drivers. But after the updating, it had no changes in the touchpad. How can the touchpad go back to the normal use? Looking forward to the assistance and solutions.
Thank you very much.

Welcome to the forums!
Is the keyboard impacted as well, or just the touchpad? If you haven't already, please install the following update:

The keyboard works well, but the touchpad does not.
And, I installed the Mode Control driver, but the touchpad issue was still not solved.

Hi, I just fixed the problem. What I was planning is to update all the drivers. Firstly I selected the chipset drivers; there were two drivers regarding the chipset. I installed the recent released one later, and there was an option to repair the error. After this, my touchpad goes back to the life!
Best wishes to the ones in the same boat.

Come on! The touchpad cannot work this morning again!!! Do you know how to fix this problem?
It is my first time to use Lenovo, which really disppoint me. It seems difficult for someone to buy it again!
Btw, I bought it in Juanuary of this year, only two months to now.

Please explain how this is done. Frankly, I am sick and tired of the 12c HID device not working. I've tried to download the device from different sites, reinstall etc but nothing works. This will be the last time I buy Lenovo but I need a solution. Step by step. Many thanks.

I don't see a solution here... I downloaded the file mentioned in this area, restarted, and see no difference. I still don't have a touchpad cursor. So... how is this a solution?
My keyboard is just fine, my touchscreen is just fine. I've uninstalled, then restarted to re-install the 12C HID Device drivers.
I've now downloaded the 'recommended' program...
I thought Lenovo was a good name... so why can't a fix be found for something which apparently several people share?

This keeps happening to me as well. Worked best when i unistalled the messed up driver, rebooted, then ran the hardware troubeshoot. It was able to find a reinstall the driver, which it wouldn't do before I rebooted. Unfortunately, the problem keeps coming back. So I'm thinkingof alternate theroies like mauybe it got a little wet and now its bugging, or the latest Windows 10 updates caused a glitch. Laptop had been fine for a year. Installing the driver manually did not work for me.
