When on battery the screen blink / flicker drammatically any time (seems) the pc do an operation of reading from memory.
Have tried setting power management and other things suggested in the forum but no way.
Also updated the video card drivers
Take a look of this brief video

same issue here, flickering starts on battery (mains diconnected) with battery power under 75%.
Connected to a TV via HDMI the issue is only on the laptop screen not on the TV screen.
At 50% and under you can't see anything anymore as the flickering gets worse.
As soon as I connect the charger, all is good so i can only work with it with a power source.
All this info was supplied to tech. support and this is what happend:
Tech. support send me some drivers to download and update: no good. Then i was told to save my data and reset the laptop (complete software wipe): no good. Then i was told to send the laptop to Germany? for repair, called tech. support after one week as I haven't heard anything and was told that the issue is solved, they changed the connecting cable between the laptop and the screen. (I didn't think this would solve the problem as it only appears on battery mode when the battery is under 75%) Got the laptop back today after two weeks and have a guess: no changes, same problem.
It seems to me that this is a known problem but nothing is been done about it from Lenovos side.
Do not know if I should just chuck it in the bin and forget about Lenovo ?

Find a solution... a workaround that works fine for me.
In advanced power management / cpu settings - on battery put the max power of processor to 80% instead of 100% works !
Hope can be useful

This works so far, it kinda makes sense, but it is not okay though that you have to get a slower pc on bat.
The battery cant supply enough power to the max cpu usage and the screen on the same time, I think another battery will solve the problem for a while. That also explains why external monitor works.
Lenovo should acknowledge this problem imo, extend warranty or maybe send/replace a better battery.

This has (so far) been working for me - thank you! Have been searching for months on how to address this! Although 80% wasn't enough for me, I've had to drop down to 75%. I still get the occaisonal flicker but nowhere near as bad as it was.

nice try but it didn't work with mine... even lowering the cpu-speed to less than 50% the screen still flickers like mad... Tried adjusting other energy-settings as well in order to limit the power consumption but nothing changes. I sure hope that Lenovo does bring up a working solution somehow...
