Lenovo Yoga 500 touchpad and screen problem

I have a weird problem with my screen  and my touchpad and keyboard shutting down. Whenever my laptops screen is in a normal upright position the touchpad and keyboard don't work. However as soon as I tilt the screen so that it's nearly completely horizontal then all of a sudden the keyboard and touchpad start working.

 

I have no idea what's causing this issue since my laptop has just been sitting on my desk for 4 days without being touched and it worked just fine last week.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does the external keyboard & on screen keyboard produce the same problem? Have you tried to booting safe mode?

Thanks for the advice.

 

I did try plugging in a seperate keyboard and mouse and they did work. I also tried booting in safe mode and this time the touchpad worked fine but the keyboard still only worked after I tilted the screen. The onscreen keyboard works regardless of the screens position.

Kindly check the laptop cables for loose connections.

 

Here is the Link for HMM for hardware guidance. If it is under warranty I would recommend contacting Lenovo service centres and applying the normal phone techniques to get it replaced promptly.
