Ok so no one seems to be able to help me. I spent over a thousand and this pc is no good on wifi.
How can i fix this??? It is so unreliable and slow.. sometimes just useless. Please help if you can.
So does this machine not work with certain routers. I need to know. my router is a Actiontec from Verizon. it is not old but not new. Do the Lenovo yoga 700s just not work well with Actiontec? it has never had the speeds i should have ..not even close and sometimes just crawls. Terrible experience. Do you suggest i get a newer router? Who out there has had issues with WIFI with their Lenovo. NO one from lenovo can help me with this so please let me know your experience. Thanks.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!
The Yoga 700 shouldn't have any problems connecting to that router, have you updated your wifi driver through the Lenovo support page? If not, I would try that and see if it helps resolve the speed issue.
Let us know how you get on.
Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo!

Yes i updated drivers a while ago and it didnt help. It is super unreliable. i did a dns flush and thought that helped, but then today.. no internet access and then now it is very slow again. This has never worked properly. I wanted this to have fast internet. I am supposed to get 50/50 up and down. This is nowhere near that. How can i get the wifi working with this machine? It must be this router that this machine doesnt work well with. My other laptops and devices dont have any issues. ..only this Lenovo has them. Either that or this specific machine is a lemon. So tired of this unreliable machine.

So it has always had issues with WIFI and super unpredictable. I am done with this Lenovo on wifi with my router.
I bought an ethernet cable and a USB 3.0 adapter and directly connect. Now i get 57Mbps download and 50+ upload!! This pc just doesnt work well with wifi and i dont know why. The tech guy from Lenovo couldnt fix it and my friend who is a Director of IT could not fix it. At least this solution works. it is no good if the internet isnt a smooth experience. Lenovo needs to examine this Lenovo Yoga 700 machine. I should get money back for this inconvenience. it has been terrible.

So just more info... I am on a work issued Dell Latitude e7440 that i just got today and it is super fast on internet and over 57Mbps download on same wifi. The lenovo never got much over 5Mbps on the same router so issue was with that machine. It is a shame..all that time wasted stressing over the issue. It should work on wifi. Direct connecting it is not a big deal , but should be like this Dell and other devices i have. Oh well, plug and go now and most of my work is at my desk so no biggie i guess.
