Lenovo Yoga 700 14ISK graphics error WVC007002-UL7CAF

So, I've had some instances, where I'm doing something on my laptop, and then my computer screen suddenly blacks out for less than 1 second, and then turns on again. After that, I would get a notification that the Intel HD Graphics 520 driver on my PC has crashed and recovered. Then I decided to do a hardware scan, found that the Mathematical Operations Test in Video Card failed, and got the code WVC007002-UL7CAF. I thought the failure would be the cause. Therefore, how would I fix it?

Hi there, Danny-

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

A service tip has been released concerning the WVC007002 Mathematical Operations Test error message.  This is a false negative and can be ignored; it does not affect the system's functionality or performance.

Thanks for the reply, but how would I fix the issue, where I'm doing something on my laptop, and my screen suddenly blacks out for 1 second and recovers? I've been having this problem, since I got this laptop

Re: Lenovo Yoga 700 14ISK graphics error WVC007002-UL7CAF

It may be that you just need to update your intel HD graphics driver.

You can download and update it from the lenovo support site or directly from intel .

For the decoding of WVC007002 you may to contact Lenovo service center and report your findings for the meaning on the failed test code 002 on the Video card, most specially if you have intermittent display issue like flashing where updating the BIOS would be helpful.

Update us how it goes.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 700 14ISK graphics error WVC007002-UL7CAF

Hello

I'm having the same issue with the screen blacking out and the graphics error on my new Yoga 700 14isk; i have followed your instructions and via the lenovo support page i have downloaded the Intel VGA driver updated in august 2016; however at the end of the downoad process i get the following message: - 8slc02af.exe is corrupt or invalid.

What's wrong?

Separately I have tried the system update scan and this tells me I my 'system is not supported for System Update'

I have also tried to download the appropriate driver directly from the Intel page and get a similar message when the download is finished:- 'Win64_154028.4501.exe is corrupt or invalid'
