So its difficult for me to pin down the problem here but I know that its not my Wi-Fi as i've had this issue at college and at various homes, cafes. I'll be browsing the internet when suddenly my thinkpad will disconnnect from the internet. Note, usually it will say that it is connected to the router but it isn't getting any connection. I will use another device at the same time that experiences no issues. When using Skype I lose calls frequently. It's dissapointing considering I dropped 1 grand on this laptop only to use my 100 dollar smartphone in many situations. Thoughts?

Hi jreder007 ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
To start with I would suggest you try to check on the wifi adapter properties .
On Device manager , choose the wifi card and right click for Properties , Power management to uncheck on Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power .
Advance tab would also show Roaming tendency / aggressiveness that you can move to highest.
See if that would would , else you may proceed with uninstall and reinstallling your WIFI driver downloadable from the support site .
Update us how it works for you .

Hi jreder007 ,
Just for isolation , on the same device manager WLAN property under advance tab, try to disable any 802.11n Mode and restart . Check if connection would be more stable.
If issue persist , you may call in technical support for further recommendation having them informed of the steps we already tried and that issue is the same on different hotspots.
Update us how it goes.
