Hi,
I brought a Mini HDMI to DVI cable to use an additional monitor, however i am reading that this dose not typically work with Lenovo's. This seems very stupid! Is there any way to run dual monitor on the 710 or do i need to get a $100 One Link Hub?

How do you want to use it the 2 screens?
(a) 1 screen on your Yoga 710 and 1 screen as the external monitor? or
(b) you want to run 2 external monitors? and turn the Yoga 710 screen off?
Do you have Windows 10? For option (a): In the right-bottom corner of the taskbar Notification center > Project > Extend.

That should work that is a basic Windows function. Do you have Windows 10?
Connect the external monitor. In Windows 10, next to the windows sign is a search, type "display settings". Click display settings, set for 2 screens.
Alternatively, in Windows 10 iFor option (a): In the right-bottom corner of the taskbar Notification center > Project > Extend.

My previous setup (prior to my Yoga 710) was an HDMI to DVI cable to my external monitor. Now that I have my Yoga 710, I simply purchased a Mini-HDMI to HDMI adapter and plugged it into the HDMI-DVI cable. Works just fine.
One note: I'm discovering that Windows updates are often messing up hardware drivers. In my case on the 710, I can always tell when Windows updates, because the external monitor no longer works. After a few days, the new video drivers come available (or, if I'm impatient, I roll the driver and/or update back) and the external monitor works again.

I want to use option B, run 2 HD monitors and turn off the laptop screen.
With only the mini HDMI on the laptop itself, what are my options??

I tried to get a Micro HDMI to VGA adpater and that didnt work for me either to extend the display from my Yoga 710 to Dell 24" Monitor. I used the below model to extend the display.
Please suggest, If there is any solution for this.

Hi,
Can you help me with option b? I have Windows 10. Trying to find a way to connect two external monitors to my Lenovo Yoga 710 that has one mini HDMI port and one USB port.
(b) you want to run 2 external monitors? and turn the Yoga 710 screen off?

NOTE - 2 things, before posting - be sure of the accuracy of your comments. I see many mistakes (even vendors selling cables and devices using the wrong pics and physical descriptor terminology).
About HDMI - there are several types of HDMI connectors. The Lenovo 710-15ISK port is MICRO. (located on the right end between the power on/off and the 2 USB ports). Easy to verify looking online at CNET specs.
External monitor use will be capable using micro -HDMI to regular -HDMI (or micro-HDMI to VGA) cable.
Other option is use DisplayLink adapter and software app. Note that HDMI will transmit and result in the higher vid/aud quality. However some folks may need/want to use USB to view pics or files, hence using the DisplayLink is a quick, versatile method to use any monitor to view GoPro or camera pics or whatever.
