My Laptop was working fine. Suddenly couple of weeks back when I power on my laptop, indicator light was on for 5 secs and then went off. No fan running and it didn't boot.
I tried the following:
1. Pressing and holding the power button for 15 secs
2. Tried with Novo button
It didnt work for one whole day. the next day when I powered on it started working as ususal. I am not sure what was the issue.
Again couple of days ago I have faced the same above problem. It didn't boot for one full day. I took it to servce center(Lenovo authorized service center), service person examined by opening up back panel. He tried few things and told, theres a problem with mother board, I have to replace it. He's not sure what is the problem.
Then Yesterday morning I tried powering on the laptop and its working as usual. My Lenovo Yoga 710 15" 15ISK laptop has become bit unpredictable. My laptop is out of warranty. Any help is appreciated on how to resolve this problem.

Welcome to the Community Forums!
Based on the description of the problem, it seemed the laptop won't pass the Power On Self Test phase (P.O.S.T.). This is usually where the computer will test all major hardware components before it would boot into Windows. We understand that the motherboard has already been replaced, but we would still recommend to return to Service Center who serviced it, since this kind of issue is best to be diagnosed and examine physically

Actually, motherboard has not been replaced. Service person told, it would need mother board replacement. But it started working the next day when I tried powering on the laptop. So motherboard was never replaced.

My lenovo yoga 710 become totally inconsistent. It turns on randomly. It does not turn on suddenly and randomly. My life with this useless laptop became tiring. I cannt belive how come lenovo like international company is building such a useless scrap laptops. I am totally disppointed with my purchase of Lenovo product. Hopefully I will soon buy more reliable DELL laoptop. I took my laptop to service guy, hes not able to find what the hell is with the laptop and he simply suggesting me to replace motherboard. They are useless.

That's basically the situation with my yoga 910. I posted a similar power problem yesterday. It happened suddenly. It was fine, now it does nothing. I thought I bought the extended protection, but can't find an email about it so I guess not...Seems to be happening to a LOT of people. It is 2.5 years old with low usage...

This is clealy manufacturing defect. When we pay lot of money. These laptop makers should make more reliable and durable product. But they are making only scraps. These companies should be made accou table for making such unreliable products. Laptop makers should provide minimum 5 years of warranty for their product. They are not testing their hardwares enough and selling these scraps. Ultimately buyers like us are suffering.

Service guy checked and confirmed that no issue with motherboard and he simply not sure how to deal with this problem. He said these thin laptops are dufficult to service. He then suggested to replace motherboard. Lenovo has made these unreliable product and i am suffering with this. Now i have lost my money I paid for purhasing this laptop. I have planned to use this laptop for 6 to 8 years and now its gone after 2+ years. Now who will pay for replacing motherboard. Lenovo 👎
