My computer is constantly running its fan at full speed, even when I am doing light work such as browsing the internet. I am not sure if my fan is the issue, as this loud fan may be a common issue among this line of laptops. I am slightly concerned that there may be a cpu issue, because whenever i open task manager the cpu is often running almost double than what the programs listed are running at. For example, if I were running microsoft edge, as well as microsoft word, the task manager might list microsoft edge at 30% of the cpu, microsoft word at 10% of the cpu, but at the top it says that my computer is running at 60% cpu. I tried downloding the notebook fan control, but it doesn't really work that well.
I never experience problems with performance, i am just tired of people coming up to me and asking if my computer is about to fly away.
I have noticed that the fan becomes quieter if i flip the computer on its side or upside down.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
While the machine is off, use the Novo hole button to power on and access the BIOS and check if quiet mode is enabled.
As you may also have described, that flipping it upside down helps lessen the noise so I was thinking of a probable mechanical issue instead. If the above steps did not work for you, then do call in technical support and inform then what we have performed so that they can assist you in the process faster.
I hope this helps answer your query.
