Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB problems

Good morning,
I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB 80X6 last november 2017 in the United Arab Emirates. 
Everything worked perfectly until July, when the laptop shut down and wouldn’t turn on anymore. I tried everything I could without opening the device and cancelling the warranty , but eventually sent it back in the store where I bought it, and they had to change the motherboard. 
Now, not even two months later, same problem. That laptop doesn’t turn on anymore, and this time it also doesn’t charge (the LED on the side doesn’t light up). 
I, once again tryed everything I could that i found on the forums without opening the device pressing the on button for various amounts of time, pressin the ''reset'' one with a pin... nothing seems to work. Problem is that I no longer live in the UAE. 
So now I have two questions : 
- does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be? 
- Can I still send my device for repair where I live now for free with Lenovo’s IWS?

Welcome to the Community Forums. 


The problem may be the charger/ dc in port / systemboard / internal boards and cables and others that needs to be checked and isolated. Here you can follow the power checkout guide from the manual (page 21-22) that can help narrow down the points of failure.


You can send it out for warranty repair if the machine is supported. 

Check it from here (Checking for IWS).
