Lenovo Yoga 720 15'' touchScreen, Esc and Delete button not working.

Lenovo Yoga 720 15'' touchscreen, Esc and Delete button is not working. I bought Yoga 700 14'' which had some problem which lenovo replaced with Yoga 720 in July 2017.  The one they provide me has warranty from 07/18/2017 to 07/19/2017 and I never was aware of that. I was in assumption that I will be having warranty for one year and I will get the warranty extended before expiration but I didn't got the chance to extend it and now things are not working. If some one can help me if these things can be resolved.

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

Sorry to hear about the warranty. It will not be updated or extended since it's already out of warranty. Regarding the touchscreen, go to Device Manager and look for HID-compliant touchscreen under Human Interface Devices. Once you locate it, right click and uninstall. Restart your laptop.

 

For the keys not working, access BIOS and check if Esc and Del will still not work. If so, it is a hardware issue and needs the keyboard replaced.

I uninstalled HID-compliant touchscreen under Human Interface Devices in device manager, but still it is not working after restart.

 

regarding warranty lenovo replaced my Yoga 700 with Yoga 720 so they should provided me with new warranty, how come warranty was only for one day.

Whatever the base warranty on your original unit, it will only carry over. It will not change even if you have received a replacement unit. 

 

Please try the suggested steps here https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-All-In-One-AIO-Desktops/My-desktop-B50-30-Multi-touch-touch-scre... and see if it will help.

 

Were you also able to test the Esc and Ctrl keys in the BIOS if they're working?
