I have a Lenovo Yoga 720-15IKB ideapad with Windows 10 and an Intel i7 that is having issues with the touch pad. When moving the cursor around with the touch pad it tends to freeze momentarily until lifting my finger off the touch pad or waiting a second or so. I have updated everything I could including the Bios to version 1.06. I tried to update the driver to the touch pad via the device manager but it says there isn't a new one available (the current driver installed is dated 6-21-2006 version 10.0.15063.0. I have also checked and adjusted the actual touch pad settings with no difference noticed.
I have read about several similar issues on other Lenovos such as the 900 and it seemed like they were able to download Symantics touch pad driver updates, but I have not found any touch pad updates from Lenovo yet.
Does anyone have a solid fix for this other than returning the computer or restoring completely? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Jerandrae -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
You can also start by flushing out all static, remove battery and AC adaptor and hold down power button for about 15 seconds.
Does the external Mouse produce the same problem? Have you tried to booting safe mode?
Update us how it goes.

I also have the same laptop and it has the same problem. Please, some "specialist" who knows that Lenovo 720-15lKB does not have a removable battery, give an effective solution !!!

I have exactly the same issue. How do I replace my Lenovo Yoga? It seems difficult to get in touch with any tech support. We only have just this forum to vent this issue! They know about this and nobody cares.

I got the same issue too. at a random time my touchpad will stop working for a while. i had to disable and enable the touchpad with Fn+F6 to make it work again. sometimes i had to do it twice. or if close the lid and open it again, my touchpad will be back to normal.
Somehow, it seems that my touchpad needs to be restarted/ turned off and on again to make it back to work.
Any idea to fix this annoying issue ?

It seems that the freezing is caused by my AC adapter. I have tried to remove it during the problem and then everything was fine. I have tried to change them to a different one and everything is ok.

I have the same problem on my Yoga 2 Pro (model 20266), and have had it for a long time. Every 2-3 minutes, the trackpad will just stop responding for about 5 seconds. I've tried unplugging the A/C adapter, and that doesn't help in my case.
