Lenovo Yoga 730-13IWL Fingerprint Doesn't Work And Can't Set Up New Fingerprint

My Lenovo Yoga 730-13IWL , a few days  after updating to Windows 10 Pro Build 1903 my laptop suddenly won't recognize my fingerprint. So i have to sign in to windows hello using my PIN/Password.

 

I've checked the device manager and apparently my fingerprint/biometric device driver aren't updated. So I try updating the driver through the windows troubleshooter driver update and the Biometric Driver installed (Goodix Fingerprint SGX). The windows said it installed succesfully. But when I want to Set Up new Fingerprint after removing my existing fingerprint on SIGN-IN Option in Windows Settings, after inputing PIN for credential prompt, the windows just asking me to place my finger on the scanner but nothing happen. The driver/hardware seems working but it failed to recognize when my finger are placed on it.

 

Please help to resolve my Problem.

Welcome to the Lenovo Forum discussion. 

 

Kindly try using the Lenovo vantage app https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht505081?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 and check for system update, then install them all. After that, restart the laptop and test the fingerprint reader again. Let us know how it goes.

I bought a 730 15IWL few days ago and have the same problem. Updated everything with Lenovo Vantage, rebooted but still not able to add a fingerprint.

It works now after going into the biometric device and update the driver. but i didn't have that device listed before. it just showed up all of a sudden.

I also have a Yoga 730-IWL

 

I am an windows 10 insider - version 1903 build 19018.1 but the issue has started a couple of builds back

I have updated the driver to the last version from lenovo  support v2.1.5.600

 

However the device isn't working the icon has a yellow triangle and the properties tab of the device manager says:

 

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

The process hosting the driver for this device has terminated.

im experiencing the same issue. Yoga 730-13IWL.

The goodix driver is crashing or freezing my pc every day.

any solution from Lenovo??
