Lenovo Yoga 900 - Airplane mode button (F7) doesn't work

2017-04-23, 18:44 PM

Hi,

After installing Windows 10 Pro x64 on Lenovo Yoga 900, Airplane Button (F7) stop working at all. All other functional keys works well, except it.

I have installed:

- Flight Mode Driver version 1.0.0.5-20150824

- Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface (ACPI) Driver version 1.5.0.14-20150824

But nothing helped.

Please help. I really need this button.

Hello koigor

Thank you for using the Lenovo forum

In this case i can advise trying to install the chipset driver as this may help. If this does not it might be a case of reverting back to the last version or waiting for a patch that will fix this issue.

Hope this help you and let us know how you get on

No. Problem still exist. Installing chipset drivers from Lenovo site doesn't help.

Change Network Adapter Properties

Right click on Start button and pick up Device Manager from the list of options.

Make your way to the Network Adapter section and expand it by double-clicking on it.

Figure out your wireless modem from the available list and right click on it to navigate to its Properties.

This launches the Properties dialog box of your adapter. Hit on the Power Management tab.

Clear off the option that says Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

To apply the changes, press Ok button.

This will Fix Airplane Mode Issues in Windows 10

Update us how it goes.

I disabled it for Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 and Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R). But it didn't help me.

Airplane mode will only work if Lenovo's utility.exe app is running.

To see if this fixes the problem, navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\Energy Manager

Then double click on utilities.exe

Wait 1 min. After that, the button should work. If it does, add utilities.exe to your start up.

Update us how it goes.

Unfortunatelly I didn't find anything like Energy Driver for Lenovo Yoga 900-13ISK Laptop (ideapad) of official support site. There is only Flight Mode Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Notebook. When I try to install it, it create folder `c:\ProgramData\Lenovo\EmDriver\` (maybe Em means Energy Manager), but after I press Finish in installer, this folder dissapear. I tried to find it with Total Commander, but this folder doesn't exist anywhere. So after installing it, I get nothing and nothing works.

Also I found Advanced Configuration and Power Management Interface (ACPI) Driver for Windows 10 (32-bit, 64-bit) - Notebook. But can't install it. First step when it unzip setup file is going ok. But then nothing happens. I mean I see request for administrative right, then I press OK and that's all. No windows, no pop-ups.

Thank you very much, it was extremely helpful.

I installed the Lenovo Utility for Windows 10 driver and double click the utilities.exe file in the  C:\Program Files\Lenovo\LenovoUtility folder.
