Lenovo Yoga 900 first battery charge?

Hello,

I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 900 yesterday and they told me in the shop that I should charge it 3 hours before the first use. Is this enough?

Thanks.

Re: Lenovo Yoga 900 first battery charge?

Welcome to the forum.

It really doesn't matter with today's Li-Ion technogies. Just plug your Y900 into AC, start using it and let the charging circuitry do its job.

P.S. If you intend to use the Y900 mostly on AC then you can extend the service life of the battery by setting power management thresholds to stop charging when it gets to ~60%. Go to Lenovo Settings, Battery, Conservation Mode. If you will use the Y900 mostly on battery power and need maximum operation time then, of course, don't do this.
