After a Window's update, my trackpad stopped working. After searches online for how to fix the issue, I noticed that the trackpad was completely unistalled from my computer (vs. just being disabled). I went to the Lenovo website and re-downloaded the driver, which fixed the issue..... for a few weeks. Now my trackpad stopped working again (randomly mid use...I had not restarted my computer or anything), with no further windows updates occuring. I looked and it is once again, unistalled. I tried to download the driver again, but it didn't fix the issue this time. How do I get my trackpad back installed and working?

If the driver refuses to get it to work, it`s possible that we may be facing a hardware issue.
I would recommend that you perforf a factory reset, if the issue persists after this, then it would confirm if this is a hardware issue.
Note: Please back up all your data as running this reset will delete any data on your machine
1. Turn the machine off and press the recovery button which is located usually next to the power button. On a desktop machine you will need to power the machine back on and keep tapping the F2 key.
2. Use the arrow keys and press enter on system recovery. ( Desktop users can skip this)
3. Select “restore from the initial backup” and then “Next”.
4. Click “start” and accept the warning messages.
Length of time can vary depending on the speed of the machine.
If these steps do not work I would recommend, that you call your local Lenovo support line for a possible service. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
