Hi, I also have the yoga 910 FHD 16GB/1TB and its freezing for like 20-30 seconds multiple times a day, I would roughly say once all half an hour. I recovers itself, so I just need to wait for it going back to normal, but still it is annoying. in addition I have sometimes screen glitches for a moment. its just like the bottom 3 cm of the screen and only for  a split second, but also that is unusual for a laptop, and is even more frustrating on such an expensive one. So come on, please get it fixed. I dont see any replies from Lenovo on either topic anymore, but that seem to be general problems...

Mine is freezing completely as well. It's has always been in chrome. It starts with partial freezes and then stops completely. I bought my Yoga 910-13KB in December of 2016 as well. The freezing happens periodically throughout the day and I have as few as 3 tabs open in chrome. I updated to the most recent BIO but it's still freezing. I have the task manager open but don't see any apps that appear to be hogging memory more than usually. Same with the cpu.

Haven't had time to read through the whole thread, but didn't see a fix posted. There's a another thread on the same issue where it was suggested to rollback to the older 2jcn34ww BIOS. I began having the same issues I believe after upgrading to 35ww BIOS, but I haven't had an issue since rolling back - no stuttering or responsiveness issues although may need to test for a few more days to be sure.

This issue can be replicated by using facebook application as well. The videos in the facebook application when played in comparison with chrome, play in lower resolution and with lag and freezing of the screen with breaking noise from the headphone/speakers.

I have a solution that worked for me (in 2nd paragraph)! Tried installing all the different BIOS. It would be faster but will slow back down again. Ran a few scans to double check it was not some malware, but no long term improvement. Rebooted in diagnostic mode (with very limited services). Computer was back to normal speed, but this solution is not ideal as we need our services. I thought it was a rouge service causing the lag. Slowly re-enabled services and rebooted each time after enabling some. There was a noticeable increase in lag when "Cryptographic Service" from Microsoft was enabled. So I got better performance with that disabled, but performance was still not nearly as good as I remembered.

 

Realized that performance was significantly better when I was plugged in. Checked my power settings. Multiple ways to get there, but you can click on battery icon, select "Power & Sleep Settings", select "Additional Power Settings". This opens "Power Option" in Control Panel. Click on "Change Plan Settings" and then "Change Advance Power Settings". Collapse the "Processor Power Management" and then "Maximum Processor State". For me "On Battery:" was set to 5%. Which means processor will only use 5% of its maximum power when on battery. Absolutely ridiculous setting since i7-7500U is a low power dual core processor to begin with. I changed that to 60% and hit "Apply". Viola! Computer was immediately flying. Performance has been so much better. Why Lenovo set the processor that low is beyond me.

thanks, though unfortunately this is not the same issue for others--the freezing problem in chrome, edge, and video streaming occurs with the 910 plugged in and max processor state at 100%. 

it's probably a bug with the bios and/or intel video driver.

Hi,  I think with the latest updates: connect2 v.4.2.1.3973 / Intel MEI V.11.6.0.1015 / Intel LPSS Driver V.30.100.1633.3 that I installed March 14, my freeze problems are gone. at least it did not occur since then. Just I noticed that sometimes my Bluetooth mouse does not react for a few secs while touchpad and everything else works as it should. So I really hope that  this annoying freeze problem is fixed :)
