Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS Mouse Pointer Disappears

2019-04-06, 21:42 PM

During screen state change (sometimes when going from tablet to laptop mode, sometimes when coming out of sleep mode) my mouse pointer disappears and won't come back without a reboot.  This seems to have started happening after a windows update a couple weeks ago.

Windows specifications

Edition: Windows 10 Home

Version: 1809

Installed on: 03/30/2019

OS build 17763.404

Re: Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS Trackpad stops working

2019-04-06, 22:32 PM

UPDATE: plugged in a USB mouse and everything is fine, so perhaps I misdiagnosed this -- its actually the trackpad that stops working, not the mouse pointer disappearing.  Confirmed that scroll gestures and the like don't work either, so definitely trackpad problem versus pointer problem.

Hi Ericvh! Thank you for highlighting this issue you are experiencing with your WoS device. I am curious to know if you have had any luck with pinpointing exactly what you do to cause the problem with the touchpad. Are you physically turning the device into tablet mode (moving the hinge 360 degrees) when it happens? If so, could you be accidentally hitting the F6 key that disables the touchpad? Please let me know if you have more information since you last posted. It is greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue.  But I didn't press any buttons.  Whenever I open my computer screen, after login, the mouse will disappear.

Netyuppie - what do you do to get it to come back? Do you need to restart? Have you tried hitting the F6 key to see if that fixes it?

The "F6" suggestion completely fixed the problem for me. I am not sure if I am actually hitting F6 on accident while flipping the screen around, but I can confirm that F6 does make the cursor reappear when I am back in laptop mode.

I hope this helps.

Re:Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS Mouse Pointer Disappears

I have a Lenovo Yoga C630. In settings touchpad is missing.

In device manager, HID Compliant Touchpad Driver is Missing.

1 of the 3 I2C HID devices has a triangle and shows faulty. I try to update and it says its up to date.

In troubleshooter it shows Error on PC due to driver issue.

Ive tried reflashing the PC with a USB Image from Lenovo for this laptop to no avail.

Ive also even removed windows S mode to Windows 10 Pro now running version 2004 with same issue.

Ive also tried installing different drivers, windows update ect ect.

and yes ive checked the "show hidden devices" in device manager.....

Im at a loss for words here.

any ideas? Help Please....
