Welcome to the Community Forums.
Checking the product specification sheet for both Yoga C740-15IML Platform and Yoga C740-14IML shows supports two independent displays; Max resolution: 3840x2160@60Hz (USB Type-C).
You can use the USB Type C with the following accessories:
Lenovo USB-C 3-in-1 Hub
Lenovo USB-C to VGA Adapter
Lenovo USB-C to HDMI Adapter
Lenovo USB-C to USB-A Adapter
I hope this helps answer your query.

It appears that the DisplayPort connection is also the power delivery port. Which of those adapters also provides charging capabilities that is compatible with the C740?

Hi, I have a Yoga C740 (v2019) 14" and bought 2 ThinkVision P24h-10 Monitors which I would like to connect. First monitor is no problem, connected via USB C. I then connected the 2 monitors with each other via DP -> DP but the second screen isn't recognized by the Yoga.
How to solve this problem?
Thank you for your help because it's urgent.

Hi, I'm going to buy a C740 14, but I don't know if it's possible to connect 2 displays in addition to the built-in display (3 displays at the same time).
For doing this I think that I should use two usb-c to hdmi or displayport adaptors at the same time. In addition to this, one of these adaptors must include a power input, for not depending of the battery.
Anybody could confirm this?
Which adaptor usb-c to displayport and power-in do you recommend me to buy? (Hub or docking are also welcome )

@spidey101 The technical specs on Lenovo.com (https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/yoga/700-series/Lenovo-Yoga-C740-14/p/88YGC701292) say the USB type-C port for charging supports DisplayPort and no mention of HDMI.
Did i missed something? Or can HDMI also used if the USB type-C port support was specifically for DisplayPort? And if it does support HDMI, would that be HDMI 1.4 or 2.0? And which version of DisplayPort would that support be, as there is no mention of that in Lenovo documentations that i could find.
I'm also curious to the right answer as I'm also planning to use my new C740 14" with (multiple) external display.

I have just discovered the "lenovo usb-c 7-in-1 hub" that it's a USB-C Hub (it looks like that it's not a thunderbolt one), and it has a HDMI output and also a power pass through (aka power input).
Maybe this hub could be used with C740 in one of the USB-C ports, solving the power problem for a 3 display configuration.
Has anybody tested this hub with the C740 14?
There is a compatibility list but the C740 is not listed ( https://accessorysmartfind.lenovo.com/#/products/GX90T77924 ) The point is that I habe serious doubts about the accuracy of this list that maybe is not updated at 100%. In fact I see no technical arguments for not being compatible this hub with the C740.

Hi all! Finally i've just bought a C740 14" and I've tried the 3 display configuration. The fast answer is that YES it does work with a 3 display monitor.
For achieving this I used 2 USB-C to HDMI adaptors. The bad point is that with these adaptors I couldn't test the displayport connection. The other bad point (for me the most important one) is that I couldn't test if this configuration is compatible with a power pass through for avoiding the need of the battery...
It's a shame the lack of information from Lenovo about this!
