I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 (Anniversary Update - Build 14393.693) clean installed on a Yoga 2 Pro (20266 / 80AY) BIOS 76CN43WW. The "Lenovo Yoga Mode Control" version 220.127.116.11 (ymc.exe) has consistently crashed every day for the last few months. Crash reports are logged. Are there any plans to fix this issue any time soon?

Hi there, Birraque -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
With multiple users logged into the machine the Yoga Mode Control service has to work harder to change the modes. The only way to help this is to make sure the first user logs out before the second logs in.
Also, try re-installing the YMC
Update us how it goes.
Tap that kudos button if I helped

I also have this issue! Would appreciate any help on this, I think this could be related to an issue I have with my wifi not working after sleep/hibernate, not sure though.
I'm having this issue on a Yoga 900.

Apparently this problem occurs in several YOGA models.
This related to some incompatibility of YMC and Windows 10.
Please Lenovo fix it ASAP and update the driver 18.104.22.168

I'm running now Windows 10 Creators Update (1703) - build 15063.11 on Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and YMC still crashes many times daily. Do you have any news from Lenovo side about this issue?

Hi Shashi_Lenovo (and Lenovo Support Team),
I'm running now Windows 10 FALL Creators Update (1709) - build 16299.15 on Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and YMC still crashes many times daily. Do you have any news from Lenovo side about this issue? Nine months later and a still waiting that Lenovo fix it.

I have exactly the same problem on a Yoga 710 (type - 80V4) with Windows 10 v1709 (v1709 now... because this problem exists since I bought the laptop last year, and every windows version the laptop was updated to, since I've bought it, has had this issue).
I’ve tried to use the Windows image that comes pre-installed with the laptop, as well as a freshly installed Windows 10 from a pen drive, and on both occasions the error was the same while using v22.214.171.124 of Yoga Mode Control.
This problem seems to be affecting various users and multiple models.
The only reason this thread is not filled with complaints is because windows only logs the error. It does not show any error message to the user. And most users don't even know Reliability Monitor... But that does not mean that it shouldn't be fixed anyway.
I don't understand why Lenovo hasn't fixed this problem already, since it clearly seems to be driver related...
Is anyone from Lenovo support even reading what it is posted here, and if yes, is the information then passed to the engineering teams that actually test and compile the driver updates?

Same problem, same question(s) - being - is anyone at Lenovo even trying to resolve this issue? My cursory searches of Lenovo and other T/S websites indicates that the YMC.exe "stops working" problem dates back to 2011 and possibly further back than that.
I have a FLEX 5-1470 and have been religious about keeping all drivers, patches, updates, etc ..., current. I have uninstalled/reinstalled YMC and Lenovo Energy S/W (which includes a YMC as well).
And still, as the screen shots here show and mine mimic, this is becoming a game of "whack-a-mole" for Lenovo product owners - a game that's played every single G/D day.
Fix it folks, please!
