I have a lenovo yoga 730 15IKB that wont turn on. Black screen, no lights, only thing that happens when I press the power button is the fan runs. It was running final few hours ago, I stepped away from it for a few minutes, leaving it plugged in. When I came back it wouldn't start. I've been doing some gaming and traveling recently, but nothing too intense. I havent been leaving it on for more then a few hours, and while it has been exposed to some cold temperatures, its been absolutely fine the past week.
Any ideas? BIOS? Battery? I'm not able to take it to a professional for a few days and want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks!

I was having a similar issue with my Yoga 710-15ISK a few weeks ago. Since my laptop is no longer under warranty, I took it apart myself, unplugged the battery, plugged it back in, and put everything back together. I had to do this another time maybe a few days later, but it has been working since then. The battery is pretty old, though, and apparently only has 20.35 Wh at full charge (53 Wh design capacity).

I took the windows 10 update a few weeks ago and since then, my yoga 720 will not power on unless plugged in. In addition, if i unplugg while it is running, it shuts down.
I started looking on line and saw that it appeared to be a KNOW ISSUE. Unfortunately my Lenova is 3 months out of warranty, and online or phone support from lenova for an out of warranty item is not existent.. My next stop after reading more about the KNOWN ISSUE was Microsoft. I put myself in the cue for a call back, The first gentleman was fine. we spent a few minutes discussing the issue and it was determined it required escalation. The next morning i received my call from the escalation team . They were very nice, explained that it was indeed a KNOWN ISSUE effecting some of he OEMS. He spent the better part of an hour inside my machine remotely and asked if he could call back in a few hours because he needed some time to review. A couple hours later he called back. Again with the remote into my machine for am hour where he instatlled new bios and new battery driver all from the lenova site.
THE PROBLEM WAS NOT SOLVED. MICROSFT TOLD ME THEY HAVE TAKEN IT AS FAR AS THEY CAN AND I SHOULD CALL LENOVA. HEEELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
