I have been using this laptop (510s) for few months now. I paid over a thousand dollar for this laptop and the laptop doesnt even wake up from sleep. i can hear the fan working and the keyboard light turns on but the screen stays dark. this is not acceptable. i have to fully turn my laptop off in order to turn on the screen back on again. this problem doesnt occur everytime, but still happens every now and then.

Can you first try adjusting the sleep options?
In addition, set the Power Settings to High Performance and Hard Drive power management to OFF via the Energy Management Utility and observe.
If the issue persist, you may want to perform a System Restore or windows reset to rule out any possible corrupted Windows Update that may have caused the Sleep function to stop working.
Update us how it goes.
