So I recently started up this laptop and when it first boots up and creates a clicking sound whenever audio tries to play,
now i have tried reinstalling the drivers. so i figured it might be a hardware issue. After going insides and tracing the speaker wires everything seems fine i even took out the speaker and tested the speaker with a audio jack (Jimmy Rigged lol) But everthing is fine. now i took a look at the motherboard to see if any thing looked fried so i can try resolder it but i cant seem to find anything. and i really dont want to go replace the motherboard just yet. and hoping someone came across this also and found a solution.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Unfortunately I do not have this unit, and have not really encountered this problem, but try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

I had this problem after Windows 10 Creator fall update. Auto speakres started clicking when not muted. Headphone jack was just "noisy", nothing more.
I installed latest Realtek drivers from Lenovo pages, but with no progress.
But after trying this "disharge" methotd, auto started working, thanks Krakken!
