Lenovo yoga 910 problem

Hi,

 

I have a Lenovo yoga 910.  I lost my charger, so i die buy a new one. Did't work so i got a other one. Still not working. Problems i have:

 

1. It won't charge (no light to the indicator)

2. It won't start up (no little sound, nothing.)

3. Battery is empty so i can't do anything on the laptop it self. So that's not a option.

 

I die try the 30 to 60 seconds power button press. With and without the battery.  Also the novo button.  Still nothing.

 

So what can i do?  

 

Is it a option to try a other adapter (got only a weaker adapter from a tablet) or   just use a normal c USB cable in the powerknop and connecting that with the laptop to see  what the laptop does?   (Need to be sure i won't  do anything to the laptop it self.)

Welcome to the Community Forums. 

 

You may follow the Power Checkout Guide (page 21) from the hardware manual as initial step. This would help check the power charger integrity. 

 

Using the same OEM part number for replacement charger is recommended to ensure safety for both you and the machine and it is better if you give technical support a call for in-warranty intervention.

I have a good recharger. It's one from the list.

Hi Xstreamdigital,

 

As stated from the power checkout guide linked above, if the ac charger is ok then most likely other parts needs to be isolated further. The more that you need to have it checked by technical support for in-warranty support else to get it to the nearest local service center in your place.

 

The way I see it, if the battery indicator led still shows off (not blinking) even if a known good charger is attached for 1 hour or more then we suspect that anything from the DC in port to the board maybe the issue.
